EDIT: Am setat acest post sa apara mereu primul pana la o data apropiata de 14 MARTIE, cand vom putea onora comenzile voastre. Prin urmare, posturile publicate de mine pana atunci vor aparea imediat sub.

Buna dimineata, lume ;)!

Si, inca o data, LA MULTI ANI tuturor! Sper ca ati avut o vacanta linistita, confortabila si calduroasa alaturi de cei dragi voua, v-ati reincarcat bateriile si ca sunteti gata pentru noul an :).

Noi aici am avut sarbatori linistite, alaturi de o parte din familie, eu am racit imediat după Anul Nou si traduc non-stop inca de pe 2 ianuarie!!! Deci cel putin din pct. asta de vedere a inceput bine anul :)).

In afara de lucru, se intampla chestii destul de importante pe aici. Iar acum va voi dezvalui ceva ce va priveste DIRECT ;). Planuisem sa va spun asta cam peste o luna, dar nu mai am rabdare, asa ca intelegeti cat sunt de...excited;).

Magazinul Happy Scrappy este, dupa cum stiti, deschis doar in Suedia momentan. Insa....drrrummm, drrrummmm, drrrrrummm, drrrummmm......de pe 14 MARTIE HAPPY SCRAPPY revine in Romania. Cu totul! Adica expedierile se vor face din Romania, nu din Suedia!!! Ya-hooo!!!

Este un eveniment foarte important pentru mine, pentru ca scrapbooking-ul este hobby-ul meu si imi face viata mai frumoasa. Si din acest motiv vreau sa il impartasesc si cu voi. Pentru ca scrapbooking-ul este hrana pentru suflet :).

Magazinul este in curs de aprovizionare acum si:

- va fi tot online, ca si pana acum

- preturile sunt in Euro si transformate in Ron

- plata prin PayPal (deocamdata cel putin)

- FARA valoare minima

- taxele postale sunt de doar 4 euro

- livrarile se fac prin Posta Romana

- livrarile pot fi si gratuite cand se fac personal (in Craiova si Slatina)

- la cumparaturi de (peste) 300 RON taxele postale sunt ZERO
- vom organiza cursuri si ateliere de creatie

La relasare vom avea promotii, concursuri si loterii cu premii etc.

Asa ca tineti aproape - aici sau pe pagina Facebook - pentru a va asigura sansa la surprize, bonusuri si castiguri.

Deci cam astea sunt vestile de pe meleaguri suedeze catre cele romanesti - bune pentru toata lumea, cred ;). Vorbind de vesti bune, am avut surpriza placuta sa constat ca, de cand Scrapbook Emporio a dat tonul in 2010, s-au deschis magazine noi cu produse scrapbooking - un pas inainte pentru piata romaneasca ;).

Acum cred ca ati inteles si de ce nu ati vazut prea multe creatii noi in ultima vreme. Pe langa faptul ca am mult de lucru, am inceput sa impachetez deja atat produsele pentru magazin cat si pe cele personale, si sunt putin defavorizata din pct. asta de vedere.

Acum intru iar cu nasul in traduceri si va urez tuturor o zi si o saptamana superbe!!!

Long time de cand am primit un premiu.

Insa Magda mi-a facut o surpriza tare placuta si mi-a acordat acest premiu sweet, Cute Blog Award (ador bufnitele :P).

Cuttlebug-ul si Happy Scrappy

Dragi prieteni,

Acest post este dedicat in mod special acelora dintre voi care mi-au scris email in ultima perioada (cam 1 an si ceva) intreband despre Cuttlebug. Mai exact daca o sa aduc Cuttlebug-ul in magazin. Ma simt datoare, desi v-am raspuns fiecaruia in parte, sa fac public urmatorul fapt:

Datorita taxelor postale mari pe care un Cuttlebug le implica (cantareste aprox. 5 kg) si faptului ca pretul final ar fi deci prea mare, am decis sa nu comercializam acest aparat.

V-am scris deja tuturor si v-am recomandat un magazin din Anglia care a inceput recent sa faca transporturi si spre Romania - este magazinul de unde l-am cumparat si eu si pot sa va spun ca-mi merge fara probleme din 2010. Momentan, acest magazin are Cuttlebug-ul v2 (cu toate cele 4 placi de lucru aferente) si 3 matrite de embosare la aprox. 450 RON taxe postale incluse. Va garantez ca mai ieftin de atat nu il veti gasi niciunde altundeva. Prin urmare, pentru aceia dintre voi care cauta in continuare sa-si cumpere un Cuttlebug, puteti lua in considerare si aceasta varianta.

Pentru aceia dintre voi care au deja Cuttlebug - sau orice aparat de decupat& embosat - in magazinul Happy Scrappy vom aduce la comanda matrite de decupare si embosare:

Desi si azi trebuia sa fie o zi de traduceri, platforma in care lucrez e out of service momentan. Asa ca am luat o pauza usor fortata si am profitat, bineinteles. Stateam si ma gandeam printre altele la cursul actual al evenimentelor din viata mea/familiei mele si am realizat caaaaa......:

Am gasit asta azi pe FB si mi-a placut prea mult ca sa nu o impartasesc si cu voi, dragii mei. Numai cand ma uit la fatuca astuia mic - si la freza lui :)) - incep sa rad fara sa vreau.

Pfui, a trecut o saptamana de la ultima mea postare, parca ar fi ieri. Am tradus non-stop, borrrrrrring like hell va spun. Iar acum, chiar in timp ce va scriu, sotul meu face poze pe balcon. E un apus de soare cum n-am mai vazut - soarele arata ca o portocala imensa, numai ca e putin mai rosietic. Iar conturul e perfect, probabil pentru ca e foarte senin cerul. Contrastul e incredibil. Daca ies misto, bineinteles ca le pun, insa nu avem camera performanta cu zoom strong. In plus, soarele aici iarna apune foarte repede, trebuie sa fii rapid ca sa-l "prinzi" :)).

Am promis ca imediat ce am noutati va scriu, asa ca iata-ma :P. Noutatile sunt ca am inceput impachetarea masiva a produselor. Pe 11 februarie isi iau "zborul" spre Romania. Prin sufrageria noastra se face slalom acum daca vrei sa ajungi pe balcon:

In afara de asta, conform unui sondaj realizat saptamana asta, am constatat ca majoritatea prefera sa participe la un curs de creatii handmade/scrapbooking in weekend dupa pranz, asa cum as fi preferat si eu ;).

Sunt bucuroasa pentru ca o sa particip la primul meu swap, cel de primavara organizat de Revista Atelierul. Asa ca, daca esti pasionat de handmade si vrei sa participi la un swap (schimb de cadouri handmade), mergi repede aici, lasa un comentariu si apoi have fun ;). Eu abia astept sa vad cine imi va fi partenera (asta in speranta ca accepta cineva sa-si primeasca cadouasul pe 9-10 martie in loc de 1-2 martie):

Din aprilie o sa reincep colaborarea cu Revista Atelierul - am simtit lipsa acestei colaborari si ma bucur tare mult ca putem relua "afacerile".

In afara de asta, azi n-am avut chef deloc de tradus, mi-am facut juma´ de norma, sa vad daca pana diseara reusesc sa fac si cealalta jumatate. Cam asa e sa fii freelancer: cand ai de lucru muncesti non-stop, nu exista sarbatori, weekend-uri, cand nu ai te cam plictisesti - e un job...extremist :)).

Ca sa termin intr-o nota optimista si vesela, astept cu mare drag sa fiu in tara tocmai cand vine primavara - ador sa fiu pe faza cand imbobobesc pomii, sa simt mirosul florilor de primavara, ma umplu de viata si abia astept :)!!!

Pana la urmatoarea veste despre ce se intampla la HAPPY SCRAPPY, va urez tuturor din suflet un weekend frumos si calduros si o saptamana lejera :)!

Salutare tuturor!

V-am zis ca pana am vesti noi despre magazin va "omor" cu poze :P.

Aici a nins acum cateva zile si de atunci a fost frig mereu, asa ca zapada a ramas la sol. Iar azi a fost total amestecat - a si nins putin, dar a fost si frig si soare, asa cum imi place mie. Bineinteles ca am profitat si ne-am facut plimbarea de aruncat lucruri la gunoi - mutandu-ne, sunt o groaza de maruntisuri la care e evident ca trebuie sa renuntam (nu ca n-am vrea). Si cum eu iau de obicei camera cu mine, mai ales cand e vreme buna de fotografiat, am profitat putin, cum altfel ;)?! Iata ce am reusit sa surprind pentru voi, sper sa va placa :):

Sa nu va speriati ca sunt asa gloomy - e din cauza setarilor ;).

In afara de asta nu am multe noutati - stiti si voi cum e sa te muti dintr-o casa - ei, e putin mai mult "de lucru" pentru ca noi ne mutam si din tara :)))). Sunt ceva formalitati de indeplinit (din fericire merg repede), de vandut mobila, de selectat ce aruncam, ce luam acum, ce mai incolo, de impachetat ce a ramas neimpachtat etc. Iar toate astea printre picaturi, cand luam pauza de lucru. Se anunta a fi un an plin, activ, iar eu sunt gata sa-l intampin :P.

Ianuarie e pe finish deja, nu pot sa cred. Februarie e luna scurta si apoi vine...MARTIEEEEE - ya-hoo!!! Getting excited, hey? Me too!!!

Finally, o zi de iarna adevarata

Hello there ;)!

Ce faceti, ce ati facut weekend-ul asta? Ce vreme ati avut, v-ati odihnit, v-ati distrat? Uh, ce de intrebari ;)! Noi am lucrat - boooooring, i know :)). Dar a fost placut. Greu de imaginat, nu :D?

Iar ieri si azi a nins mult si s-a pus zapada ca lumea, sunt tare bucuroasa. De aia si postez, ca sa va arat poze, ca nu am mai postat de muuuuuult timp poze despre viata de zi cu zi. Iar ce-i prea mult nu-i bun, huh ;)? Pozele sunt facute pe 31 decembrie 2001, acum cateva zile si azi:

'Neata, dragilor!

Sper ca ati avut un weekend frumos cu vreme placuta si evenimente agreabile.

Weekend-ul meu a inceput de joi, cand am luat o binevenita pauza de la tradus si am inceput pregatirile pentru ziua sotului meu care vineri a implinit 40 de anisori ;). Astfel, acest weekend a durat pana sambata seara. Duminica e de revenire :)). A fost un weekend tare placut pe care l-am petrecut alaturi de persoane dragi si asta e tot ce-a contat.

Klasse, prietenul nostru drag, care acum 2 ani s-a mutat din Växjö, orasul in care locuia si lucreaza, in Hovmantorp (un orasel in care mai nimic nu se intampla) s-a mutat inapoi in Växjö de la 1 ianuarie. Saracutul de el, timp de 2 ani a facut naveta (25 km) de la serviciu si inapoi, mai mult de dragul schimbarii si pentru a fi alaturi de prieteni. Se saturase de apartamentul in care locuia de 10 ani si voia o schimbare. Si a ales sa se mute aproape de noi - emotionant. Aproape, adica in acelasi bloc, la 1 scara distanta. Au fost 2 ani super si o sa ne fie dor de el. Mutarea lui inapoi e perfect sincronizata avand in vedere ca si noi o sa revenim in Romania in curand. El ar fi ramas singur aici, iar noi ne-am fi simtit cam prost din acest motiv. Asa ca ma bucur extrem de mult pentru el. Ieri am vazut si aparatamentul lui cel nou, care e super, si m-am bucurat si mai mult - printre altele pentru ca pe usa agatase semnul pe care l-am facut pentru el de Halloween:). M-am simtit asa de bine ;)):

Insa a fost si un weekend activ, in care s-au derulat activitati organizatorice, de impachetat si mutat, de gandit pe termen mediu, planificat si creat. A fost, pe scurt, un weekend full. Asa cum imi place mie. In caz ca nu v-ati "prins" pana acum, pe mine inactivitatea "ma omoara" :P. Iar ca sa combin utilul cu placutul, prefer sa ma implic in activitati care-mi si plac :P.

Planurile pe termen mediu se refera, bineinteles, la magazin si mai precis la lansare. Stim cu totii ca planificarea e cea mai importanta parte a unui proiect si ca, de obicei, ia timp. Asa ca aproape niciodata nu e prea devreme ca sa incepi.

So, what's brewing now?! Asa cum mentionam in postul anterior, pentru a sarbatori re-lansarea vom organiza concursuri si loterii cu premii, pe de o parte, si promotii pe de alta parte.

Deci...cam asta se intampla...

Happy Sunday! Can you believe it's just 1 week 'til Christmas??? I can't, i honestly can't. But i don't want to think about it :P.

Today, 14 days after our friend's 40th b-day, i am posting the card i made for him.

It's a short post this one, but i don't think anyone has the time to read too long posts right now ;).

I know, i've been long gone, but i had to. And so far i don't know when i'll be "free". I mean it's soon Christmas and we will all start doing the usual things fro Christmas. But as usual i find my time to scrap, not as much as before - i don't feel i have the time to create a whole scrapbook page, just cards right now :). Hello everyone and Happy Saturday evening ;)! Happy December and Happy Romania´s National Day (1st of December)! Ah, and La multi ani, Andreilor si Andreelor!!! Sorry for the delay:(! Im sorry i´ve been away for so long, i had and still have much to work. However, as everyone needs rest, i needed some too, so i made some cards. To some i took pics already, to some not. Right now im working on a card for our dear friend Klasse, who´s birthday is tomorrow. So of course i could not miss the occasion. Must say, this will be a very special and original card and i already like it to bits. Let´s hope he will love it, because it´s very much according to his style :P. Meanwhile, i made some more Christmas cards and let´s see what became of them. This is a new technique, that i liked very much the result of, so i could not resist and started making 2 right away :P.

Christmas pop-up tag and tee-pee card

I missed you all so much, i missed posting and of course creating. I have not had the time to create lately, mainly because i had to work almost non-stop. However, you know very well how it is to have a hobby that you love, you can't stay away for to long. So these last 2 days i managed to steal some time for me and create 2 things that i just learned. It's a tee-pee card that i saw some time ago at someone and instantly wanted to know how it's done. And while browsing for that i discovered another cool thing that i fell in love with right away, so i made that one too ;). Let's see, first the tee-pee card which looks exactly like a tent, so it has 3 sides to decorate ;):

It could be folded to be perfectly flat so you can send it in an envelope, but i did not have a velcro so i did not do it :P. Hope you like it :).

Aha, so now the sweet pop-up gift tag, which looks so cool and is so cheap to do, it only requested half a sheet of 30x30 cm cardstock.

First Christmas cards for 2011 ;)

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday ;)!

I think i've been away for a week now but, even though i have not created anything for a specific challenge, as usual, this Sunday i have discovered 2 new card techniques that i liked and i felt like trying them right away ;).

In the end, i created 4 cards for my family and friends. Let's see them.

As you can see in the 1st pic, it's not perfect, because i made the mistake of using a too large stamp on the biggest square, and this is why i connected the next square a bit miss-aligned. Next time i will know ;).

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday ;)!

I want to thank all of you for the Happy Halloween wishes and for the emails asking how im doing. Im doing fine, thanks a lot, just a lot to do these days, translations mostly. It´s always like this in the end of the year. But somehow, the more i have to translate/do something else, the more i need to scrapbook, so i try to find the time to create something, no matter how busy i am, and that´s because i need it. And when you have some lovely sketches and color schemes, how can you jump over such opportunity ;)? No way Jose :P! So this time it was "love at 1st sight" with this color scheme and said i have to make it, no matter what. Let see what i did first:

How are you all, all fine i hope. Here the time has passed by with the speed of light lately. Work, work and ork again. But the more i have to work, the more i need to find my time to scrapbook. So i managed to finish everything earlier and to create a LO for the 3 challenges listed bellow. It is a very pleasant challenge for me to keep to a certain color scheme and this is why i try to follow the CR challenges as often as possible. So, this time i had 1 color scheme and 2 sketches that i combined somehow, successfully i hope :P.

Hello world!

It's an old picture i've taken on my way home from a monitoring visit, in Romania, (on the way to) Craiova, October 2004 or 2005. Hello everyone and Happy Friday!!!

Somehow, i have the impression that lately i managed to publish a post mostly on Friday - not bad ;). Of course i missed you too and, before anything, i thank you so much for the comments and messages you send me constantly! You warm my heart and make me feel you appreciate the fact that i publish all this. Thank you everyone :)!

This last week has been full of thoughts and ideas and even sleepless nights and lately the message that i get from what i see and read is "Don't give up your dream" and "Winners never quit and quitters never win". Good to remember :d.

Meanwhile i will tell you that im looking forward to Halloween, as always and the pumpkins are already here, i will take a picture before transforming them into a delicious pumpkin pie and lanterns ;).

Also, i took a step further in my creative process and signed up for the ColorRoom - a lovely community that im excited to be part of and where a challenge is posted every Friday (again Friday;)). These challenges are based on color schemes (4 colors that you have to include in your LO) and i tell you they are just fabulous!!! So i felt it's time to move forward a bit and try this.

The weekend is here and we are all in such a good mood just because of this ;). Let me put you in an even better - and hopefully creative - mood with a spooky door sign i made for our friend Klasse, who loves his skulls :P.

I promised i would post it and, considering that Halloween is soon here, i thought you might need a bit of an "inspiration boost" :P.

Didn´t i say i´d be back soon ;)?! Here i am again :P.

And this time i made a wedding page but with a twist :P. You need to know the story to understand the title and i´ll be very short. As some of you already know, im romanian and my husband is swede. We got married in Romania in an orthodox church and i was the translator. Well, you can imagine it ain´t easy to translate the Bible´s text for weddings and to keep the pace.

A page about my lovely husband when he was 15 years old, on a trip in UK. A page i made for this ST challenge, the place where i "play" most often :). Hello to you and a happy Monday :)!

How are you all, hope you had a nice weekend. Here it was nice, sunny and around 15-20 degrees, so we took more walks than usual :). Now a new week started and we charge our batteries with some caffe-machiatto/coffee (my husband) while we read the news, you know, the usual. So, let's hope this week will be a good one, filled with good news and nice opportunities ;). And some mojo for those who are in need :P.

Aha, so, what else did i do lately, as i said i will get back to you. I finally managed to take a photo of the door sign i made for our friend, but i will post it some other time, so please bear with me here :). However, for our family album, i made the 3rd page - check here and here to see the other 2 pages - and i will submit it to this challenge. I liked the sketch very much, so i could not resist ;). The page is about morsan (that's like "mommy" in english), my mother-in-law, who unfortunately is no more with us. She was a wonderful woman, hard to describe in few words, but i will try to resume and say that i felt her very close to my heart from the 1st moment i met her, that she was much more to me than just my mother-in-law.

Im back sooner than i would have thought :D!

This post is to present you a page a made for 3 challenges and it will be a short one, as i have pretty much to do :) Me likes :P.

It´s another page in our family album and the title include 3 separate key-words, 1 for each challenge. Plus, of course, its based on a specific sketch. Whew, what a multi-tasking person i can be :)).

The page is about Vasile Constantinescu (the picture in the middle) who is my grandfather from my father´s side, and 4 friends of his - they were all fighting in the 2nd World War, and of course, they shared the same memories about this, therefore the title...

Hello world :)!

Im back again :P!

And even though i said i would be back with the door sign i made for our friend, im back with a scrapbooking page, the one that represents the start of our FAMILY ALBUM :). You probably remember those old pictures of my family and their friends. Well, i did not have much patience and i started scrapping them. Of course, first i scanned them, so they remain in electronic format also.

So, this page is focused on my grandparents from both sides :). Unfortunately, none of them is alive, the last one to go was my grandmother from my father's side. The album will be in English, so that, later in time, everyone in our family - and not only - understands it :). The page is in 20x20 format, as the album. Let's see how it looks.

Butterfly mini-album ♥

Hello world and welcome back into my happy-scrappy world ;)!

Im back again and i can tell & show you that my time has been productive :P. Im very glad to let you know that i finished my first mini-album. And it has a lovely shape - that of a butterfly. And not only the shape, but the paper itself is all full of...butterflies ;). So full you would say i´m in love - and you would not be wrong ♥.

I will submit this to the current mini-album challenge organized by SvenskScrapbooking. The album is about us, me and my husband, and it includes photos taken since we met until the wedding moment. It´s called "Bits & pieces of US". I did not decorate the verso of the pages, it would have looked to full from my point of view and the paper structure was not that strong either. Let´s see how it looks:

I do hope you like it, my husband liked it and that is extremely important to me. He always tells me when he does not like something, so now im happy :P.

I will get back as soon as i manage to take some good photos of a door sign a made for our friend Klasse. A sign that i had much fun working on and that he thinks looks much better than our own :))))). I must say i like that.

Hello everyone!

Im back again! And i appologize for disappearing like this, but i had and i still have pretty much to do. It´s been a relatively full period but i feel it will get even fuller, ´cause this is how it is in the translation field: the summer is usually kind of dead.

Anyway, last Wednesday i have scrapped with my lovely 14 years old niece, Ellinor. And we did not play too much, we jumped directly to a LO :P. So this is what she did. All i helped her with was to explain how to do things, but i did not actually do anything. She chose the color combination and everything else. I have hidden her face, but this should not matter.

She is already inpatient and curious about this next Wednesday. We established we shall do a card, play with the Cuttlebug and learn some techniques.

Hello world!

Im back again! Pretty low profile im keeping these days, but believe me, its (somewhat :P) motivated. Anyway, today i showed up just to let you know that, yes, against almost all odds, i WON!!!

I won on this challenge, and it´s the first time ever that i win something by sheer luck. It seems that i can win even though i don´t believe in this kind of luck (that has nothing to do with merit and work, where i usually win :)).

Ah, and the LO i won with is my last one, the humoristic one, with me and the prince of my dreams :).

YUHUUUU! Im so happy you can´t believe!!!

And now what i won: i won a 25 USD gift card from Paper Secrets (USA). And i chose to have a Spellbinder Nestabilities die (it´s my first one!!!) and a pearl embellishment from Prima. They said they sent them yesterday and you can´t imagine how excited i am!!!

Memorabilia from my family

Hello everyone and welcome back!

I don't even know how long it's been since the last time i posted something. Today im back with something totally different than my usual subject :P. Yesterday it's been a grey and stormy day and i was in the mood to do something...different. So, based on the fact that some nights ago, before falling asleep, i was thinking that i should sometime scan the old pictures that i have before i start scrapping them, this idea hit me and so it all started :).

And i can't tell you how nice it felt. It's charming to read on the back of those photos and see who they are and try to guess from what part of your family they come and admire the elegance and style of those times. I love that period, as many of you do. So this is why i decided to share my joy with you and i hope you will enjoy. Here are some of my relatives.

When i look at her the first thing i see is her dancing charleston or foxtrot in one of those times' restaurants - absolutely charming:

I know, it's long time since i posted here last and i present to you my apologies :)! It's been a period with much to do and even more to think about, so i took the time to think a bit. Things are still developing, so no decision taken yet, but soon we should know more and we HOPE (ooops - what a coincidence;)) that it will be good news.

Vintage page about mamaie ;)

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday ;)!

Today just a quick post to show you the LO i made for this challenge. Is a page about Mamaie, my grandmother, the one who raised me since i was 5 years old. She was a very beautiful and strong woman, who got through the war alone and with 2 kids (my father and uncle). Her husband (my grandfather who unfortunately died before i was born) was in the war and disappeared for 1 year. When he came back it was something incredible to see him alive, you can imagine. Anyway, life was hard in those times and on her too, of course. However, what does not kill you makes you stronger. She died at 87 years old and, if it wasn't for the stroke she had, she would have lived easily to get 90 yo or even more. Now here is the page i made (i know she would be very glad to see that i created something about her):

What have you been doing this weekend, hope you had lovely weather wherever you are.
Have you seen that blogger changed their interface...i was a bit confused, im still not totally familiar with the new version, this is the first post with the new interface, and i hope it will turn out well :).
This is a so-to-say "triple" challenge because i will submit the LO to 3 challenges: with two of them is my first time: color and sketch. It's a summery page and hope you will like it.

Flowers!!! Does not everyone love them? Aren't they a supreme symbol of perfection? All those layers of petals, all those incredible colors, their smell - they all form something so perfect and beautiful :). And what else can we do but admire them? In this LO i used some pictures took 5 years ago, during my trip to Amsterdam. I know, you would normally think about tulips but its not them the star of these photos ;).

Happy Sunday everyone!

Hope you are all fine and enjoy your weekend! Here we had a carnival here, since Friday, and even though i took photos i will not post them because i had a bad position and it's very hard to see something noticeable. However, i will show you pics with a hedgehog that i saw some days ago (i love hedgehogs, they are so sweet, despite their spikes ;)!!!) - i never saw one before and i was so happy because he was so close and i could take good photos. Look at the end of the post ;).

But first i will show you the page that i created for this challenge. The title and journaling are in romanian, because i intend to give this page to my niece, for her to have it, hopefully she will look at it over the years and smile at what she was doing when she was a sweet little girl :). I for one can't help smiling when i see her grandparents enjoying her sandcakes and what a serious little face she had when she was "baking" them ;).

This page is made for the romanian side of my family, does not have any title because is 100% self-understood (anyone in Romania who would see this page would think about the same thing, believe it or not :)). The title would have been "LA CIREŞE", which is also the title of a famous romanian novel ;).

Once upon a...travel

Happy Tuesday everyone, how are you, all good and fine i hope :)!

Here the weather is lovely and im done with the translation work for now. Like i said in the previous post, i scrapbooked some these days and now it's the time i show you one more page that i will submit for this challenge and this one also. I recycled a lot at this LO. All those pieces of paper from under the pictures are recycled. Including those ones with the journaling. They were laying in a tray and i was wondering if i will have to throw them away in the end, which i don't like at all. But hey, the occasion to use them was just around the corner :).

I like this blog because they focus on journaling, which I think is very important for the next generations to know what those pages are about.

Hope you are all fine and merry, full of inspiration or in a creativity mood ;). Well, i know i am. Since Friday until today i made 4 LOs, so...i will show you one of them today. It's for Get Picky - a challenge blog where the condition is to use at least 2-3 photos on your LOs. Everything i used in this LO you can find here, at very good prices too ;). So, as i was saying some days ago, now i have so many photos that i have a hard time making a choice :D. Anyway, i managed to pick some summery photos of my niece (again ;)) and here she is when she was 9 months old and first time by the sea ♥:

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday to you :)!

Hope you all have a nice day and week and enjoy every single second of the day. ´Cause i do and it feels perfect!

So, what i´ve been doing lately... i translated a lot, visited some dear friends that we have not seen in a year (and they only live 25km away), had a very calm weekend and...received home llllllots of pictures. I won this prize at a photo competition on the swedish scrapbooking forum, about my city and got the vouchers. So i had to print photos for 30 euros - and that´s a lot. So many that they had to split the order. My great joy is that now i really have many photos to chose from when i want to scrapbook ;). So, because i did not want to miss the opportunity to scrapbook today also, even though it´s on the last 100 m, i created this LO, especially because i thought that these pictures are perfect for this sketch. Here is my take on the ST challenge. It´s for and about my sweet niece - my sister´s daughter. I think she was 5 years old here. She likes cherries, as you can see ;). Well, she loves every fruit actually (unfortunately, she is fructose intolerant, so now it´s really seldom that she can eat these :(). All the products i used you can buy from here - at really low prices right now - 25% rebate on almost all the goodies;)!!!

Hello everyone and Happy Friday!

Hope you are all fine and enjoying a nice weather. We have had some rain and storm here and seems to continue. But this did not stop anyone from scrapbooking, on the contrary in fact :P.

I won't be long today either, i just want to show you a sweet summery LO i made some weeks ago for this challenge. It's my first time with BITW. I discovered their blog pretty recently and what i like the most about them is that they focus on journaling (you have to use at least 2-3 lines of journaling in your LO). So i decided to take my chance on this first sketch. In this LO i used pictures taken at our friends' place and therefore their kids' faces will be...hearted, hope you don't mind ;).

I can't believe i let this on the last minute. I had so much to do lately that i really did not find the physical time to publish it. However, i think and hope that i will be in time. These is a LO about my grandparents from my mother's side. I was fortunate enough to spend some years of my life with both of them. And of what i know from my mother, they really were a perfect couple. The pictures with each of them are taken before even met/got married. I do not have to many pictures with them, but i thought these 3 were perfect for this challenge. I will submit it to the actual challenge from Sketchy Thursdays. Here are the pictures:

Stop and smell the roses

Hello there!

How are you, dear friends? All god i hope.

Today i want to show you the LO i created for the current challenge back at Lasting Memories. There was no given sketch, however the challenge consisted in creating your OWN background using punches. These photos were taken in April/May 2011, in my father´s garden, remember his Paradise ;)? So let´s see what i came up with:

The journaling reads out like this "My life´s philosophy is to enjoy the journey. While we are thinking about the end goal, we miss so much; the real life´s secret is to enjoy the small things, they are many and can make us happy if we are open" :). Sounds a bit too philosophical, huh :D? However, i think you know how perfect it feels to stop and smell the flowers and to "dive in" with all your soul ;).

A new retro/vintage LO

Hello everyone!

Just a short post today to show you my LO for the actual challenge at Svensk Scrapbooking. As soon as i saw the sketch i felt like making a retro/vintage page - it's long time since i made the last one and i miss it ;).

In the picture is an aunt of mine from my father's side - she is 92 years old now and since i know her she has always been a role model for me. She is and has always been a fantastic woman with a long history and future :). She gave me this picture some years ago and it's the only one i ever had of her. I intend to give this page to her and hope with all my heart that she will like it. I put all my heart in creating it and hope this is visible :):

The title is FERICIRE, it's in romanian and it means HAPPINESS :).

Hello world and happy...Wednesday, right ;)?!

This week started and 3 days are already gone, did not notice when!! Every day has been so full and nice: Monday we sun-bathed but also took the first dip into the sea (well, lake :P) - and it´s the first time in my life when i "swim" so early in the year ;). Then, Tuesday we had a party in the family, one of my nieces finished the school (19 yo) and here this is a pretty big event - it´s called "Student". But even before this, on Sunday i saw that back at Lasting Memories a new challenge has been launched, so, me and another niece of mine (14 yo) have created a scrapbook page about her cousin (my sister´s daughter). Well, 90% her and 10% me :). I only did the background (with distress inks) and prepared the pictures. All the rest is her work. Her homework was to create something about someone in her extended family. And this was a perfect occasion for her to scrapbook some. Yes, this is her first scrapbook creation and im totally impressed :)!!!

Sweet memories from my childhood

Hello everyone!

Amazingly enough, im back! Yesterday i was waiting for ST to post their new challenge so i can create some, i was in the mood. You can see im addicted since i was WAITING for them to post it :)))!!! Anyway, as soon as i saw it, i printed it and started to look through my photos. I did not find anything "suitable" to my mood, so i went through the older pics. And found 2 actually, but in the end i chose the one below.

It made me feel so good to scrap this photo, brought back so many happy memories and made me realise once again what a happy childhood i had :). In this picture it was my birthday, i think i was 9 years old then and those were some of the guests at my party (i was the one in the middle). I can tell you that i started to scrap around 8 pm and went to bed around 10, when i was done with the page and totally happy ;).

The journaling reads out like this "Childhood is that period in everyone´s life to which we all want to get back once we start getting old. But i have "news" for you guys: it´s enough to remain a child in our heart to feel truly blessed in our life" :).

A new lil´ winter page ;)

Rather fairytale-ish than sassy, but i love the idea of it :P.

This LO was made for the current challenge from Sassy Lil´Sketches, and this is my first time with them. The pictures were taken by me during the winter of 2010/2011, which was beautiful here is Sweden :).

The journaling reads like this: "Winter of 2010/2011 was the longest/coldest in 150 years. I always loved real winters with lots of snow, cold and sun in the skies. It makes me feel i live in a fairytale. Life with my baby is a fairytale :)". So, here it is:

May has always been my favourite month. Blooming trees, wonderful flowers, most enchanting smells, clear blues skies, all these mean perfection to me. Flowers i always loved and, since i discovered the wonder of photography, i like to take photos of them. This is what i did with these magnolias and when i took the photos i was already thinking to scrap them. I scrapped them in the weekend and today i found the perfect opportunity to publish them within this challenge. It´s my first time with Lasting Memories and this time they had a very free challenge, with no sketch whatsoever. All you need to do is to include mostly flowers in your creation. Here is my LO:

Hello everyone and Happy Monday ;)!!!

Today i will interrupt the baby-boy-album show in order to "send" out the LO that i created for the current challenge from ST. It contains pictures taken in our vacation in Romania, in our garden, my father´s oasis :). My father´s hobby is taking care of his huge garden, filled with all kind of fruit-trees and vineyard, plus some hens ;). The journaling reads like this: "This is the place where my father likes to spend most of his free time. It´s the family´s farm of which he takes care almost like of a child. The vineyard, the fruit-trees, the hens - they all form an oasis where you relax by working."

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday ;)!

Just a short post today ;). It's time to publish another page from the baby-boy album that i just finished. I wanted to do it tomorrow, but it seems i won't be home. Like i said before, the titles will be inserted by the parents themselves, this is why some pages might look incomplete, because i left space for the title. Let's see how this page looks:

Hi everyone,

As i said, im back again, pretty soon huh :D?

The baby-boy album is actually ready, today i will send it to the beneficiaries. My sister, who ordered this album, decided that the parents will put the titles, so i except 1 single LO where the title just popped-up, none of the pages has a title. Also, this page is a double one, made according to the sketch posted in the current challenge back at Sketchy Thursdays, my favourite challenge blog ;). Again, the baby decided to play hide&seek with you, hope you will join him :).

If i had more pictures with the baby and if the order was not limited to 10 pages, i would have continued working on it. I will miss working on it and im already looking forward to the next baby scrap-album. I loved working on this album. I never before finished 5 LOs in one day, so that´s a record for me. I hope the parents will love the album as much as i loved working on it.

Baby-boy album - page 1

Hello world and welcome to this new wonderful day :)!

Much has been done since my last post: until last Friday i translated a lot, Saturday a have been to a scrap-meeting and in 4 hours i only managed to create 1 LO (i was not very inspired that day). However, on Sunday i created 5 LOs - the muses have been very generous with me :). Anyway, today i will start showing you the album, page by page. The album contains 10 pages plus 2 covers, that will also be made by me. Also, the baby decided to play a bit of "hide&seek" with you and hide his sweet face. Which is a pitty, because in some pictures he is really funny, but we shall regard the album only from the scrapbooking point of view :). I have not put the titles yet, so i will get back when the titles will be added. Hopefully for the next pages i will have the titles by the moment i will post them. So here is the first page, where there is nothing to hide ;):

This is a gift that my sister will make to some friends who's baby has just been baptised on Saturday. And it will be a total surprise for them, because all has been prepared in secret. I hope with all my heart that they will like it, can't wait for her and their feedback :).

Hello world!

How is everyone? Hope you all started a fine day and week!

I for one did very much already, food is ready and now im pretty free.

This weekend i made a page for my uncle. Before we went to Romania i had made a page for my father and left it there, of course. But it felt unfair not to make one for my uncle too. So i picked some pictures of him - i found very few to chose from, from which i once again realised how important it is to make pictures, as many as we can - and made him a scrap page. It feels better now :). With this page i will take part in the current challenge back at Pencillines.

The title is in romanian and it means "LOVE = RESPECT":

Hello everyone! How are you doing? All good i hope :)!

We are back home now, after 3 weeks of vacation filled with the best things you can dream about - ahhh, sigh :)! Perfect weather (except for the last 2-3 days when it rained but it was still warm), not too much computer and internet (actually, 4 days in a raw we stood away from it and felt excellent; before, i was convinced that i was addicted to the internet, but now im happy to discover that im not - hurrray!!!). Important things were solved just a few days before leaving back to Sweden and without any intention, rather by accident. So im happy to declare that the trip was a very fruitful one, from every point of view ;)! And this is my gift to all of you, hope you can feel the smell :):

Now, im back to Sweden and therefore back to scrap (i missed it a lot in Romania). In the following days i will start working on a baby-boy album, im just waiting for the pics to be developed, looking forward to that.
Except this, the weather is lovely here, im so happy for this.

Winter LO on sketch 232

Hi everyone!

I can´t believe how often i posted lately. But don´t "worry", i will be very lazy for the next 3 weeks instead, i will be on vacation, so not too many posts from me.

Anyway, yesterday i was in the mood for a LO, so i made one with the pictures that i took this winter, i still have, so i thought i should use them, despite the fact that spring and Easter are coming. You will...forgive me for that, huh :-)?

I made a card too 2 days ago, but first the LO. With this one i will take part in the actual challenge at Pencil Lines, it´s my first time with them :):

I love the glittered flowers at the bottom :).

Did you notice the glittery title? And the journaling? It says like this "The winter of 2011 was very snowy. We all love snow until we have to shovel it away" - true, hey :D?

I used patterned paper from Dovecraft, fabric alphabet stickers white and glittered, cardstock for the flowers and that would be all i guess.

I know i did not 100% respect the sketch, but i like the result anyway, it has so much dimension given by the flowers, i love it (the modesty in me :))).

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday :)!

Hope you had a nice week and the weekend will be fantastic ;). Here it's been an interesting week but something very nice and long expected lies in front of us: a 3-weeks Easter vacation home in Romania. I can not wait!!! To take as many photos as possible and fill my lungs and soul with the fresh springy air and the blooming trees and flowers. Can not wait!!!

To celebrate this i felt i should create something sweet for my 7 years old niece, a very delicate girl who likes delicate things, of course ;). So i made this lovely tote, hope she will like it.

More retro/vintage Easter cards

Happy Sunday everyone ;)!
15 degrees and cloudy here. Yesterday it's been misty, very interesting, i never say before mist in April. How's the weather back at you? Hope you have some sun at least, 2 rays would suffice :)).
Well, no matter the weather, i have been crafting some more and did 2 other cards which i like enough to post here:

I used cardstock, patterned paper from My Mind's Eye, pearls & rhinestones from here, and everything else from my stash.

Like i said, the images are downloaded from the i-net and printed, then coloured and integrated in the cards. Hope you like them too and find them helpful in case you decide to make your cards this year :).

My very first vintage Easter cards

Hello everyone and Happy Friday!

How are you, hope you had a great time. It's April's Fools today, take care ;)! We might play a trick to one or 2 of our friends, let's see :P.

The weather is grey, yesterday it poured all day long and today seems to be the same, actually. They promised nicer weather in the weekend, like 11-15 degrees, poor us :D.

Anyway, it seems that despite the weather - or maybe just because of it - i have been in the mood to create some Easter cards, some....vintage easter cards ;). They are my first ones and im quite with the result :). Today i will make some more. The images are taken from the internet, of course. Here there are:

The papers i used are from the Bloom&Grow collection of My Mind's Eye and of course cardstock. Except this, some stamps, embossing powder, distress inks, and some pearls&rhinestones.

I have a hard time in choosing between these 2, i like them equally much :).

I actually made 3 but i did not like how the picture looked for 1 of them, so i will get back later, with the next lot ;).

Happy Monday, everyone! How are you? Started a good week i hope :).
Im back in the blogosphere to show you the albums´covers as i promised. And without further ado, here there are:

And that was all. All i can tell is that it was a great pleasure to work on them, that they require a lot of time (3 hours for each front cover) and that it was all handmade, including the covers (i recuperated some materials, im a green scrapbooker :P). I will probably make some small updated to it until i deliver it, if i feel its needed.

Now i get back to the kitchen, the soup is in the making and it needs me :P.

A birthday card for a man and some lovely flowers

Happy Thursday everyone ;-)!

Im back again to show you a birthday card i made for a friend who gets 60 yo this weekend. It´s not my idea, i found it somewhere on youtube, don´t remember where any more, because i checked so many before i made the decision:

It´s very simple to do, especially for those of you who make cards more often than LOs. Im the opposite, but it´s been easy anyway :). I posted it especially because i know that many of us are in a small trouble when put in this situation of making a card for a man. Hope it helps.

Also, i think i found my favourite kind of hand-made flowers, after the roses of course. They are all made with the cutting die "Tattered florals" and they look like this:

I really needed another kinds of flowers, because you know, it gets boring with always the same "dish" ;). They are really cool not only for scrap projects, but also as home decorations (i put them in the tray where i have the flower pots and in the tray where we have the candles and they look very nice).

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday ;)!

How are you doing, hope all is fine with you from every point of view.

All good here also, we have had 2 days with just sun and i feel the spring is on our side now. Last night it's been cold and a small layer of frost is laying on the buildings's roofs. Right now i see the frost from the building in front of us melting down under the power of the sun. But let's get back to our "sheeps" and let me bring the latest news: i am totally done with the wedding albums, covers included.
